Watson, The Game Is Afoot!
For some reason, the update time on the page has increased from around 4-7 seconds to 30+ seconds. I have no idea why that sort of huge slow-down would happen, but restarting the Apache server didn’t fix it, so I have to assume that the reason is in my code.
I’m just going to leave it running as is to see if it keeps getting slower and I’ll take a look at finding the reason and fixing it as part of the whole speed-up weekend task.
Edit: A brief scan of the rendering code identifies the loop that checks to see if a roaming group is in the cell as the culprit. Well, that and python being very slow, seeing as it’s a trivially small list. It’ll grind to a complete halt soon, so I’m going to remove that bit of the code so a request doesn’t completely shaft my webserver.
