Various Updates
As of yesterday, the manwiththebones.com domain is working again as it has been successfully transferred to GoDaddy and I’ve pointed everything at my dyndns address. It took nearly a week for the transfer to go through even after Easily had sorted themselves out and correctly updated the admin address. That’s a long time to have a domain out of action if you’re a business, so you’d hope there were ways and means of achieving it without loss of service. I can only hope that GoDaddy turn out okay. Their admin interface is comprehensive and updates happen within an hour or two so far, so as long as that sort of service continues and their pricing doesn’t rocket, I imagine I won’t be moving again for a good long while.
In other news, I’ve finally committed some code to the enchantrix WOW add-on codebase, which I’ve been steadfastly not getting to for over a month now. The functionality checked in is complete, but there are plenty of additions that could and maybe should be made. One job that definitely has to be done is to pull all the text out into structures that it can be easily localised. Fortunately, this is nearly all done already, but it’s still a tedious job. Once that’s done, it should be okay for the next version release of the add-on, which will be good in that it’ll be one less to-do, and also it’ll allow me to give a better answer to all the people in game who ask me where to get the add-on I use.
